JULIE MYERS, PRESIDENT, Chief Executive Officer
Julie has been with the company since 2000, first in the role as Vice President of Finance and then appointed to the role of President and Chief Executive Officer in 2004. After several years of project management and heavy involvement in multiple certification programs, Julie’s role was expanded to the oversight and leadership of the Chippewa organization, including business development and market expansion. Julie is a graduate of the University of North Carolina – Wilmington with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. Prior to her role at Chippewa, she spent several years in the financial industry, specializing in commercial lending and management of a large commercial bank. Julie is a licensed private pilot.
CHARLES ‘CHUCK’ MYERS, VICE PRESIDENT, Technical Services
Chuck is the Vice President of Technical Services and the engineering genius behind Chippewa. As a graduate of the USAF Academy and former US Air Force Captain with over 15,000 flying hours, he brings more than two decades of aviation experience as a pilot, mechanic, Designated Airworthiness Representative (DAR) and Designated Engineering Representative (DER) Aurthorizations. He was the founding member of the engineering department for Simmons Airlines, where he first developed a reputation in the aviation industry that is second to none. Over the years, he has developed extremely successful relationships with most airlines, avionics, aircraft manufacturers and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). In addition, during the past 25 years he has been directly involved in underwriting, designing and certifying STC’s (Supplemental Type Certificates) for the FAA. His expertise, combined with these relationships, makes him the perfect innovative visionary for Chippewa, which, in turn, makes Chippewa the ideal choice for any company seeking excellence, efficiency and responsive turnaround in aviation services. Chuck is a licensed ATP with type ratings in the Boeing 707 and Cessna Citation Series Aircraft.
CARL COUNASSE, VICE PRESIDENT, Operations
Carl is our Vice President of Operations. He has been in the aviation industry since 1993 as well as Quality Assurance experience since 1997. His academic qualifications include Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License, Inspection Authorization (I.A.), and Designated Airworthiness Representative – Manufacturing (DAR) Authorizations. He has an extensive background in Business Class and Commercial Aircraft repair, strong Avionics experience and has spent several years directly involved with writing FAA STC’s.
BRYANT STEWART, DIRECTOR, Quality Assurance
Bryant is our Director of Quality Assurance. He brings with him over 17 years of aviation experience, with his emphasis in Maintenance. His academic qualifications include Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License, Inspection Authorization (I.A.), and Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representative (DMIR) Authorizations. He spent four years in the USAF as a Maintenance Crew Chief and has been in the Quality Assurance field since 2003. Bryant is a Commercial Pilot and Certified Flight Instructor with Aircraft Single Engine Land.
TODD CURTIS, VICE PRESIDENT, Business Development
Todd is our Vice President of Business Development. Having nearly 25 years in the aviation industry, he is a seasoned veteran encompassing leadership roles with major Avionics & Aircraft OEM’s and Engineering & Installation Centers. He leads Chippewa’s Business Development with his main focus on making new technology a reality for our clients and customers. Todd has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with Honors from the University of Montana and is a 1,000+ hour private pilot.
